Hello! It is with regret that I introduce myself in this manner. I recently helped transport Sweetie Pie (now renamed Peaches), who is a white and tan spayed female Shih Tzu rescued from a puppy mill auction by ROMP rescue. She traveled from Chicago to her new foster home in Glenside, PA, where she spent a very happy month with her new Shih Tzu buddy and two doxies, but went missing from her yard on February 4th, just before the horrendous snowstorm hit on the east coast. She has tags on from ROMP rescue and is microchipped. She is quite shy/docile and may be frightened of people because of her mill dog experiences, although she seemed to be quite familiar with living in a house at some point in her life. We do not recommend chasing her, as she will probably run from you (perhaps a bribe with food and being very still and friendly will work). We are hoping that someone has picked her up or that she has found a warm place to hole up in. We believe she would return to her doggie friends and her source of food. If anyone lives in the Glenside area, please keep a lookout for her. If you think you may have seen her, please contact Liz at 773-263-7060 or Linda & Marv at 215-887-8786. They are offering a reward. We are all worried and heartbroken that this has happened.
