So...we didn't get a chance to meet Lullaby's parents, and I'm really curious to know how big she's gonna get!!

I'm sure at least a few of y'all have kept track of your pups' growth...right??

Lullaby is about 3 1/2 months old (16 weeks to be exact!) and she weighs 6 lbs.

Anyone have a good guess for her mature weight?

What are your experiences about how shih tzus grow, when they are full grown, etc?

Firstly HI KAY and WELCOME to Chatter....
To my knowledge, the best estimate chart to go by is take the weight of your fur baby when he/she is at 4 months of age and multiply that weight by 2.
Example..
My Suzie...I got her when she was one week shy of turning 4 months old... and weighed just at about 6 pounds....then when she turned 4 1/2 months old, she weighed 6.4 pounds...
I took that weight and figured her to grow to about 12 1/2 pounds...sure enough that is what her adult weight turned out to be when she hit a year old.

Yup, great advice Vicki, thats what I've heard as well. At 4 months Payslee was 3.0 pounds, and She weighs 6.5 pounds now.. She grew longer, but didn't put on much weight. She's now a year old. Sawyer weighed 6 pounds at 4 months, and he weighs around 11 pounds right now. So thats a pretty good "weigh" to estimate it..

I don't have an exact 4 months on both of mine, but Josie at 3 months was 4.14, and she now weighs 13 pounds...
Maddy was 4.13 at 15 weeks and is now 11.8 pounds...

I usually take the 16 week X2 and subtract a 1 lb (approx). But it does depend on the the growth pattern of the parents and what is in their lines. I usually take the 14 week weigth and double it unless they are a "tiny" then usually the 12 week weight X 2. My cherri was 7 lbs at 16 weeks and is now 11.5. Koda was 4Lb 12 oz at 16 weeks and is not 9.5 lbs. So it depends on the dog, but generally you can take their 14-15 week weight and double it and you will be really close (generally)

Well, that confirms it, Maddy is a "tank". We call him that, he isn't really fat, just SOLID. But if I double his 15 week, he should only be 10 pounds max....little porker..

I put in her weight I assumed she'd be at adult size of 9.2 and that's what resulted.
Then I switched it to 6.8 and that was the second result...

How does that work??

So, going with the 16 week/4 month weight X 2...she'll be about 12 lbs!

For chosen the wished weight, I would see the common weight range of the breed. However, the date of birth & current weight are the critical data of this equation.

Let say, Chin Chin's date of birth is 03/20/2009, current weight is 3.409kg, the chosen wished weight are 4.5, 6.8 & 9.2; the result come out as 4.35, 4.37 & 4.44 respectively. The differences between 4.35 & 4.44 is only 0.09kg, so I dont really concern about that. Anyway, it is just an estimation.

Da, I still don't get it, when you put in the wish weight, that is what comes up as to be, hey come to think of it can humans use this wish weight chart , also I don't know the difference between lbs and kgs , and I'm not even a blond, but I do live in Florida perhaps that explains it........ help

1kg = 2.2lbs

eg, 10lbs = 4.55kg (round up)

Chloe' went to the vet today. She is 16 weeks and weighs 6 lbs. so I guess she will weigh 12 lbs. as an adult.
